In Iran, and particularly in Fars province, a significant part of the production of nomadic Rugs in Sydney and carpets is undertaken by nomadic women and girls. Nomads don’t usually use maps or patterns for carpet or rug weaving. Designs they are using have been passed down from previous generations, and minor changes are made within the framework of the customs in the area. Persian nomads, especially Qashqais and Balouchi tribes, are more involved in this art than other groups. The villagers who live along with these tribes also produce carpets and other handicrafts. Balouchi Rugs are famous and highly demanded not only in Iran but also around the world due to the originality of the beautiful patterns, colors, and the excellent quality of the texture.
